Design process
How do I operate?
1. Empathising with both Stakeholders and clients alike
Every project starts with empathising with the client’s goals, identifying key problems, and outlining desired outcomes. This step ensures alignment from the very beginning.
2. Define the problem and solve
I define the problems and considerations of my client. Clarify using a problem statement that will make sure I don’t deter from the original goal!
3. Ideate and start to create solutions
With the project clearly outlined. I jump into user research and competitor research. Userflows and wireframes begin to be developed at this time, if working with other designers, I’ll organise group sessions, running workshops using crazy 8 and other ideation techniques to get the ball rolling. I tend to include Devs in the early process, to make sure what we’re designing can be brought to life with ease. This stage focuses on usability and intuitive navigation.
4. Prototyping and Presenting
Here i’ll first present findings to my clients/Stakeholders and team members/cross functional teams. At this point it’s about finalising ideas and making sure we’re all on the same page. I have a natural collaborative spirit so I thoroughly enjoy this stage and getting feedback.
5. Testing and Optimising
Based on the feedback received in meetings and testings, I refine and finalise the design. Focusing on clean Dev handoffs, as this can speed up or slow down the process.
